In the middle of Pittsburgh's bustling strip district, you will find a haven of sensory delights. Filled with exotic plants, beautiful dried and preserved flowers, natural ephemera, and perfumes of the garden, Roxanne's Dried Flowers has served as a favorite place for inspiration and rejuvenation for over twenty years.
Starting in a Greek revival farmhouse on a small four acre farm, Roxanne set out to follow her passion for growing flowers and tilling the earth. Making wreaths and arrangements from her dried harvests, a quick following grew from a budding interest in fine pieces handcrafted from dried flowers.
At that time, it became clear that a new generation of gardeners was focused on appreciating the environment and preserving nature. With few options for botanically focused out posts, Roxanne decided to build a shop that would offer the finest dried flowers, garden accessories, and naturally inspired gifts the market has to offer.
What followed was a quaint shop in Washington, Pennsylvania that featured Roxanne's flowers, arrangements and botanical gifts. The aesthetic was natural and organic, with a touch of nostalgia for slow living and an old-fashioned way of life. Similar to cottage living in the European country side, Roxanne's Dried Flowers reflected a love of nature that is celebrated in and around the home.
Twenty years later, we have grown from that small farm and quaint shop to a busy retailer in the heart of Pittsburgh's historic market district. We feature exotic and familiar flowers dried from all over the world, alongside fine potpourris, perfumes, plants, and accents for the home and garden. Nearly doubling the size of the shop is a backyard garden, filled with seasonal decorations year round and tropical and regional plants in the warmer months. We create custom pieces for the home and garden, and offer exceptional dried arrangements with over twenty years experience in the industry. The shop has been featured in floral publications and websites, and had become a veteran source for the best dried and preserved floral materials.
After all this time, one thing has remained constant, a driving passion to celebrate the natural world and bring its beauty into the home.
