If you've made your own terrarium, consider using your project as a centerpiece for your next gathering. Some friends of ours recently had a dinner party doing just that. The layers of stone, soil and plant paired naturally with the minimalist style of the table and home. Glass containers and candles added a warm glow to the table, and the leafy greens accented the greens on the menu.
Beyond adding a bit of life to the table scene, the terrariums inspired the dessert for the evening too. Layers of chocolate cake and homemade whipped cream blossomed into local gooseberries and raspberries in a delicious nod to the decor.
